Latest SWTOR Post Details Manaan, Its People, And Their Association With The Sith
If story is what you care about, BioWare's latest post on the Star Wars: The Old Republic website should keep you happy for a bit. Titled Intelligence Report: Historical Analysis of Manaan, it reads just like you'd expect it to, discussing the planet's people -- the Selkath, and their relationship with the Sith Empire. Effectively, the Selkath have a "trade agreement" for the substance kolto with the Empire...although, begrudgingly.
As a result, the Selkath isn't exactly being forthcoming with the substance. With this in mind, the report on Manaan has been put together detailing the politics of the planet, major areas of interest, resources, and a valley known as Hrakert Rift, where large amounts of kolto can be found. Some of the resources mentioned are "hidden resources" such as underwater devices that are rumored to exist as well as the remains of a facility used to create super soldiers that might be modified for use by the Sith.
It's an interesting read for lore-hounds, and possibly a look at some of the upcoming content in the game. If you're interested in reading the full report, it's available on the game's site.
