Latest Smite God Reveal Trailer Offers A Peek At Cliodhna In Action
This lady is scary.
Not quite a month ago, Titan Forge Games announced the next god to join the Smite lineup, offering a look at what went into creating her both visually and the technical aspects of adding a scary banshee lady to the roster. Of course, the original post didn’t really go into exactly how Cliodhna would play. After all, that’s what god reveal trailers are for.
A melee-focused assassin, Cliodhna has more than a few tricks up her sleeve to allow her to be the bane of her enemies. In fact, she’s got to be one of the very few characters in a competitive game whose build is dependent upon sneaking through walls. Her passive, Phantasma, allows her to not only enter walls but see the location of other gods and even attack them while she’s in there – using three of her abilities, including the ultimate. Players will just need to be careful to not hang out in there too long as doing so drains Cliodhna’s health.
It’s also worth noting that the abilities she can use while in the wall function slightly differently than they would on the normal field. That said, using the abilities from inside the wall has serious advantages, such as being able to jump out on opponents or even just set traps for them to walk into later. You can watch each of her abilities in action, and see how they differ when in the wall versus out, in the video below.
