Latest Lost Ark Blog Highlights The History Of Abyss Raid Boss Argos
He’s more than just a pretty forest creature.
Remember, even if a raid boss is pretty, that doesn’t mean it’s still not evil and dangerous. Case-in-point, Argos, the boss of Lost Ark’s Abyss Raid. He may look like a gentle woodland creature, but it turns out he’s a traitorous Guardian who decided to side with the Guardian of Chaos. Don’t ask why there’s a Guardian of Chaos or why he’s not aligned with the other Guardians. That’s not explained in the latest Lost Ark blog post detailing Argos’ history. All we need to know is that the Guardian of Chaos was giving Argos orders to travel to Punika and spread the power of life to consume the continent. (Yes, the power of life sounds like a good thing, but you can have too much of anything.)
Of course, the other Guardian’s couldn’t let this stand, so another – Albion – was sent to defeat Argos. This resulted in a battle that raged across Punika. That is until Albion took drastic measures to prevent a massive calamity. Using all of his power, he wounded Argos severely. Unfortunately, Argos was able to take advantage of Albion’s weakened state and infect him with Chaos. Argos fled and Albion went into a great slumber.
Now, Albion’s been awoken by demon activity in Punika, and Argos – aware of the fact – has decided it’s time to go back to work. Unfortunately, Albion is still weaker than he was before and needs help protecting Punika from Argos. That’s where the players come in.
Argos’ Abyss Raid will arrive this month. Like other Guardian Raids, this one will require eight players working together if Argos is to be defeated by the time runs out. And, yes, there are a limited number of revives. Those interested in finding out more about Argos’ lore can read the full post on the Lost Ark site.
