Latest Heroes Of The Storm Production Letter Provides Info On Upcoming Events, Teases New Hero

With all the recent changes around Blizzard's MOBA, Heroes of the Storm -- not to mention the rumors of more Acitivison Blizzard layoffs in the works -- it's pretty easy for fans to end up thinking we won't be seeing much of anything from the game in the near future. It's definitely true that the current Heroes dev team had to go back to the drawing board a bit. But the good news is that they've got a few things in the works.

In a letter posted recently on the Heroes of the Storm forums, Production Director Kaeo Milker provided fans with a look at some of the things that are in the works for the game. And yes, there will be another hero. In fact, according to the letter, it's "right around the corner." No. It doesn't say who it is.

Also noted in the letter is the delay of the Lunar New Year event. As games left and right are kicking off their version of the event, the Heroes team has decided to hold off and roll it into a "Spring Event". This is part of their plan to have events for all seasons. The good news for players is that when the Spring event rolls around, limited-time content from past Lunar New Year events will be included along with all-new content for the new event.

The rest of the letter goes on to offer information on some of the quality of life changes the team plans on making and plans for an upcoming AMAs on Reddit. Dates for the latter haven't been officially announced yet, but fans should keep an eye out because Milker promises a schedule "soon".
