Lack Of Communication May Be Killing Russian Revelation Online
Things aren't looking great for the version of Revelation Online published in Russia by Mail.ru. The game may not be doing so hot and the big issues seem to be related to a lack of solid communication. Players on the Russian community forums have made extensive posts detailing a variety of issues with the game.
As noted above, the players are taking issue with the publisher's communication -- or lack thereof -- regarding problems that result in the game being almost unplayable. In some cases, issues have remained unfixed for months.
Some servers experience extreme FPS drops that impact PvP -- something MMORPG reports players discovered is related to localized sound files. Of course, communication with Mail.ru being what it is, the players have tried to relay this find to them with little success.
Since players have been having so many issues getting the publisher's attention, they have decided to compile the post linked above, which includes a list of things that need to be fixed.
Among the items detailed on the list are finishing up translation work, more in depth testing on the PTR before putting content on the live servers, optimizing the game client, and more.
If Mail.ru fails to start addressing these issues, the game's guilds have stated they will be leaving the game, taking over 80% of the players with them.
