KOG Games Drops Massive Systems Revamp Of Action Fighting Game, KurtzPel
The revamp introduces a new progression system, tutorial mode, and more.
Today, KurtzPel developer and publisher KOG Games pushed a huge systems revamp for the game. The update overhauls the game’s existing systems in order to improve the player experience for everyone. Among the most notable changes in this update are the additions of a progression system, a tutorial mode, a PVE only Invasion Dungeon, and a new collection system.
The progressions system is account-wide and offers players a way to earn rewards as they earn levels while playing any of the Karmas. This replaces the character and karma level systems and grants players a reward box containing a collection of potential items ranging from currency to consumables as rewards for leveling up. The system also does away with level caps, so players can keep receiving rewards indefinitely.
For new players – or those returning from a while away – the tutorial system is designed to help them better understand the game’s core mechanics and systems while preparing them to participate in PvP. The good news is that it’s designed to go at the player’s pace, so it’s not just going to drop them into a brawl without preparing them. The tutorial mode will also continue to be available for players to return to so they can practice whenever they want.
PVE players looking for a bigger challenge will want to check out the Invasion Dungeon system. This system takes regular dungeons and increases the difficulty, adding Abyss monsters not seen in regular dungeons. The system is set on a rotation so that each day five of the sixteen current dungeons will become Invasion Dungeons for the day. Of course, it’s not just about the dungeons, there are also better rewards to be had.
The final new addition is the Collections system. This system allows players to create set collections with their current costumes and accessories. Doing so earns more rewards in the form of cosmetics.
The rest of the update implements quality of life changes asked for by the game’s community. They’ve removed the randomized stat selection system of magic stones and granted all players access to the same set of passive and active abilities on Karmas. As always, full details are available in the latest set of patch notes.
