Knock on Sauron's Front Door In LotRO's New Update
Update 20 for The Lord of the Rings Online is now live, and it takes players this close to Mordor. Specifically, it features the Battle of the Black Gate, along with a new epic book chapter, and loads more quests and other content.
The epic book chapter, Volume IV, Book 8, has you tagging along with Aragorn as he confronts Sauron at the Black Gate, in the attempt to draw his attention away from Frodo's quest to destroy the One Ring. Three new zones, Noman-lands, Dagorlad, and the Slag-hills play host to 90 quests. Players can also help prepare the Host of the West for battle with resource dungeons, roving threats, landscape monsters, and crafting.
There's also the usual slew of bug fixes and other tweaks to the game, all of which you can read about on the LotRO forums. My favorite? "You can now perform emotes on the stages in Belfalas premium housing areas." Time to put on some plays!
