Kakao Games' Dysterra To Enter Global Beta Soon, And It's Super Easy To Get In
Getting in is as easy as clicking 'Request Access' on the game's Steam page.
On May 4, Kakao Games will be opening the flood gates and letting players into the global beta of their upcoming multiplayer survival shooter, Dysterra. (Okay, they describe it as "mixing solid first-person shooting with sophisticated survival and crafting elements", but my way is shorter.) As with many survival-oriented games, Dysterra is set in a dystopian world, one that exists following an event known as the Terrafire. Effectively, humanity was mining the Earth’s core and the result was a gigantic pillar of fire that forever changed the world as we know it.
During the global test, which will run until May 17, players will be able to engage in battle using both melee weapons and firearms. They'll even be able to take a run at a modified version of the game's crafting system. The developers have adjusted things to account for the limited time available in the test, so however easy you may think it is prior to launching, it's going to be more difficult after.
Of course, the developers expect player feedback on this. Particularly, they seem to be interested in how players feel about the upgraded UI and motion-capture animations.
Anyone interested in participating in the global beta can sign up now for a guaranteed spot. Simply go to the official Steam page. The “request access” button is available now. Just click it and you’re in.
