Jagex Unveils RuneScape: Dragonwilds, A New Survival Crafting Game Set On The Long-Lost Continent Of Ashenfall

Since we're exclusively F2P here on MMOBomb.com, this will be the last time we get a chance to talk about this new title coming from Jagex. RuneScape: Dragonwilds isn't going to be F2P itself, but I did want to cover this announcement for all you fans of the F2P MMORPG RuneScape. Why? This new, open world, crafting survival game takes place in the world you've spent years exploring. However, the location you'll be exploring is the long-lost continent of Ashenfall.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds sees an ancient clutch of dragons led by a dragon queen threatening the world. You're being sent north to explore and put an end to the threat. While Dragonwilds is not going to be an MMO, it will have solo and co-op gameplay (you and up to 3 friends) and will feature many locales, NPCs, abilities, and lore bits that long-time RuneScape players will likely love.

Dragonwilds departs from Jagex's usual F2P MMO offerings and will require a one-time box fee to get in game. If you want to support the team, you can wishlist Dragonwilds on Steam right now and sign up for alpha testing on the official site.

A livestream is currently being planned and should take place in the next few weeks so players can get their questions answered soon.
