Jagex Raises £204,000 For Mental Health Charities And £60,000 In Support Of BLM
In April, Jagex donated £100,000 to a trio of mental health charities: CPSL Mind, The Prince's Trust, and Rise Above the Disorder. Yesterday, the developer announced that it has donated an additional £104,000, totaling £204,000 (about $250,000 USD) to the charities as a result of Mental Health Awareness Week in RuneScape.
Jagex CEO Phil Mansell produced a video thanking players for their support, for which he is "incredibly appreciative." Each charity will receive one-third of the funds, or £68,000. Jagex has also donated £60,000 to the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, a UK charity committed to social inclusion, in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
