RuneFest Postponed

RuneScape fans planning to attend RuneFest will need to update their calendars. As you know, Jagex had to postpone the event celebrating the MMORPG due to the loss of their partner. Specifically when Player 1 Events, who Jagex had brought on to aid with hosting the event, shuttered earlier this year.

The company was an experienced event supplier with a focus on gaming-related events, known for working on the Insomnia Gaming Festival. Sadly, the company had been having issues and laid off its staff back in May. Following that, Jagex was unable to speak with Player 1 regarding RuneFest.

Since communication with the company has been non-existent and Jagex has been unable to find another immediate solution, they decided to postpone RuneFest to early 2025 and promised would-be attendees that they’d let them know as soon as they had a date.

As of today, we have those dates. RuneFest will take place at the NEC over March 1 – 2 next year. For those who have already bought tickets, don’t worry, the dates are being transferred. If you can't make the new dates you can file to get your tickets refunded. If you booked the camping portion of the previously advertised festival, you'll automatically receive a refund on that portion since there will, sadly, be no more camp out.
