Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6-3 Launch

Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 6.3 dropped this morning, adding a good bit more new content to the game. That includes MSQ, a dungeon, a trial, new PvP prizes, and more. The patch notes dropped late last night, adding more details to what we’d already seen the preliminary patch notes. The notable parts, of course, are job changes.

The bulk of the job changes are all piled on one job – the Paladin. We knew this was coming. It’s a complete rework of the job, and Paladin mains will want to look over the notes to see what they’re in for. Speaking of tanks, all of them have a new, separate, action button to cancel their stances. The downside is there’s one more button in your hotbars. The upside is that now you can’t accidentally cancel your stance by hitting the button twice.

Out of the rest of the jobs, Machinists received the most attention with seven of their actions being reworked. Sage has four – mostly in having their recast times for Phlegma I, II, and III dropped. In fact, almost all the jobs had some recast time tweaks. Dancers got a different kind of love – one that should have already existed. No longer do they have to worry about being trapped in a dance, trying to get out of it as quickly as possible when they find they need to cast Curing Waltz or Shield Samba.

In addition to the patch notes, the devs also dropped details on PvP Series 3, including a pic of the new mount. Patch notes for the entire patch can be found here, while the PvP Series details are located here.
