It Still Hasn't Been Officially "Revived," But Heroes Of The Storm Has Released On Game Pass With 30 Free Heroes
It's not on Steam or on consoles yet, but maybe this is a start?
Just before Microsoft was set to acquire Activision Blizzard, we started reporting on some sneaky updates being dropped in Heroes of the Storm periodically, including the return of Brawl earlier this year. While I certainly wouldn't say that the F2P MOBA has been officially "revived" in any capacity, it's clear that there is SOME work going on behind the scenes. To what end? We'll just have to wait to find out.
In what was probably taken yesterday as an April Fools' Day prank by many, Activision Blizzard announcd that Heroes was now on Game Pass. It hasn't come to the console version of the subscription service, nor has it come to Steam, but maybe it's a good sign to see for fans who want to see the game fully return? The devs took to X (formerly Twitter) today to confirm that the game was "still there" even after April Fools' Day was over.
If you are a PC Game Pass subscriber, not only are you able to hop in, but by playing via Microsoft's service you get access to the normally $39.99 "Heroic Reinforcement Bundle." This package immediately expands your roster of available heroes by 30. The bundle includes Anub'arak, Tyrael, Blaze, Garrosh, Diablo, Sonya, Varian, Rexxar, Artanis, Malthael, Whitemane, Rehgar, Deckard, Morales, Uther, Abathur, The Lost Vikings, Medivh, Tassadar, Zarya, Butcher, Kerrigan, Maiev, Valeera, Gazlowe, Falstad, Li-Ming, Kael'thas, Nova, Hanzo.
Now...how about a console release...?
