It May Not Be Officially "Back" Yet, But Heroes Of The Storm Just Had Another Patch Hit The PTR
It's not new content...but it's yet another patch for a game that went almost 2 years without any.
Noobfridge may be running out of time for his 2024 prediction regarding Heroes of the Storm to come FULLY true, but it keeps seeing some signs of life as new patches made their way into Activision Blizzard's MOBA earlier this year.
Today, HOTS just had yet another patch hit the PTR. Activision Blizzard is keeping Noobfridge's hopes alive for a full "we're actively developing again" announcement it would seem. Now, to be fair, this is just another update dishing out hero updates and bug fixes, much like the other updates this year. The game still hasn't received new content updates since Blizzard announced they were ceasing develoment just over 2 years ago.
What's your take on this one though? Obviously not getting patches for almost two years was expected after the initial announcement. However, since Microsoft purchased Activision (slightly before the purchase to be more exact), the MOBA has received multiple updates. Small ones? Sure. Updates, though? Yep!
Could the teams be planning to do something with the game? Maybe a console release just to give it more of a revenue opportunity? What's the long-term goal with this one in your book?
