It Appears World Of Warcraft is Getting A Diablo 4 Crossover
Likely just in time for the Diablo 4 launch
On June 6, Blizzard will be dropping the next installment in the Diablo series, Diablo 4. It seems like they’ll be giving World of Warcraft players a way to celebrate that release with an in-game crossover. That is, according to some datamined information from the latest PTR, shared on Icy Veins.
According to the post, flavor text found in the PTR build indicates a return of Diablo's goblins to the MMORPG. Among the things included may be the Baa’lial Soulstone, needed for learning the Baa’lial battle pet, as well as a feat of strength related to it.
Also found in the flavor text is a tooltip describing the event, stating: “Strange winds blow in from another world. Sightings of odd, bag-holding creatures spot the land, and heroes are filled with renewed vigor. Treasure Goblins can be spotted from TBD to TBD. The Winds of Sanctuary blow in from TBD to TBD.” Winds of Sanctuary is a 50% XP buff.
Note: Activision Blizzard has had charges filed against them by the state of California for serious harassment allegations. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company and in many employees' eyes failed to take adequate action. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made.
