It’s Almost Time For Heavensturn In Final Fantasy XIV Again, So The Latest Dev Blog Discusses The Entire Event
Get ready to ring in the New Year!
Soon… Very soon (December 31), the Final Fantasy XIV Starlight Celebration will come to an end. And that means one thing… Well… Two things, we suppose. One is that after that, you’ll have to wait until they put the reindeer in the store to get it if you don’t do the quest now. The other thing is that it’s time for Heavensturn. As one event comes to an end, the other begins.
This year’s event kicks off on December 31 and will last until January 16. That’s about a week after the patch hits, so you should have time to get it in. This year, The Usagi bugyo is offering players a chance to draw an omikuji and learn their fortune for the new year. This is something that anime fans might be familiar with, but if you’re not, the post on the XIV site explains how the tradition works on Earth. Hopefully, everyone receives a good fortune. (I’m gonna be so mad if XIV curses the new year.)
As is the case with previous Heavensturn events, there’s a new outfit to be had from this one. It’s actually pretty nice looking and is dyable. And yes, there’s a housing item available as a reward as well. This one’s an indoor item, so more people will likely have a use for it.
In other XIV news, as we all know, the current PvP Series/Season will come to an end with the launch of Patch 6.3. That means players can expect the final results for Crystalline Conflict the delivery of rewards. It also means that new rewards will be introduced to Frontline and adjustments will be made to rewards and content. If you’ve been working on the current series and haven’t completed it yet, better get that done because your progress will reset and you won’t get all the items you want. (So much to do, so little time.)
