It's Almost The Pirates' Live As Skull And Bones Open Beta Dates Are Revealed
It’s basically early-early play, as everything will carry over into launch.
We’re almost there. Skull and Bones’ open beta test is almost upon us. Scheduled to take place from Thursday, February 8 to Sunday, February 11, the test will be available on all platforms with cross-play enabled. That’s PC via Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store, PlayStation5, and Xbox Series X|S.
As the test is open to everyone, how players will go about accessing it will depend on their platform of choice. Those playing via Ubisoft Connect or the EGS will access the beta via the “free games” section in their launcher. Console players will need to search for “Skull and Bones” in the console store. Players can preload the game on February 6, so no playtime will be lost to the installation process. And, as this is an open beta, progression will be carried over to launch.
In addition to the open beta announcement, Ubisoft also released the year one roadmap for the game – titled “Rise of the King Pins”. The roadmap is broken up into four seasons, Raging Tides, Chorus of Havock, Into the Dragon’s Wake, and Shadows of the Deep. Each will feature its own pirate lord – including one named Mystery Rival. Obviously, they just want players to wait to find out who that one is.
