It's All About Momentum And Being Ruthless When The Division 2's Year 6 Season 3 Starts Tomorrow
The global modifier is all based on you taking out targets non-stop...if you can survive their Frenzy.
While we still have to wait for an official release date for the teased (and delayed multiple times) "Battle for Brooklyn" DLC, The Division 2 is ready to kick off Year 6 Season three in the shooter tomorrow, February 25th. Y6S3 encourages open hostility and you'll need to be as ruthless on the field as you can be. Taking out targets via any means necessary contributes to the season's new Global Modifier, "Rogue Momentum."
This momentum meter is broken into 5 sections and you'll gain momentum by eliminating enemies, and lose momentum slowly while you aren't engaged. Why gain momentum? Great question. The higher the tier of momentum you're in, the larger the increase is to some key stats including weapon damage, movement speed, and others. You become a real terror if you hit the 5th "Unstoppable" tier.
Careful, though. Enemies can be in a "Frenzied" state of their own and they start showing up more frequently starting with chapter 3 of your seasonal journey.
Speaking of the seasonal journey, there's a number of improvements this time around. You'll get access to modifiers earlier and they'll be obtained through the season's progression rather than objectives. Season XP will be available in almost all content. Hard to find content will be removed from objectives and you'll have more options to choose from to make sure you hit the content you actually like doing.
Of course, a new season means new exotic items (3 of them), new gear sets, stash changes, and more. The full patch post on the official site details it all and even gives some charts detailing improvements to weapon types. Almost all weapon types have received a faster reload speed.
Don't miss out on some events like XP boost events and weapon stats and resource boosts, too. I've added the full reveal stream that just aired today if you'd like to hear about every detail while you're working on something else.
