Iron Maiden Frontman Bruce Dicksinson Hosts World of Warplanes Educational Videos
Whether it's Swedish power metal bands or brawny, washed-up actors, Wargaming isn't shy about pop-culture crossovers. Today's announcement continues that theme, as the lead singer of legendary rock band Iron Maiden will be lending his talents to videos for World of Warplanes.
The "Bruce Dicksinson Warplane Diaries" are a series of 10 videos featuring the Iron Maiden frontman, who's described as a pilot and "avid enthusiast of military aviation." The first entry features the Hawker Hurricane, with additional chapters coming regularly over the next three months. Wargaming has also produced a tribute video to the airplanes of WWII, set to the classic Iron Maiden song "Aces High."
As for the game itself, Wargaming will be adding a hangar "subtly branded with iconic Iron Maiden imagery," with "various Easter eggs hidden throughout." Or at least as subtle and hidden as fully painted-on-walls logos can be.
