Introducing Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s 2 Newest Classes, Veteran: Sharpshooter And Zealot: Preacher
With 4 Archetypes to choose from, there is sure to be something for everyone.
When players begin to create their Warhammer 40,000: Darktide reject, they will be able to choose between 4 Archetypes: Zealot, Veteran, Psyker, and Ogryn. Each type has its own unique characteristics, allowing players to find their perfect playstyle. Today we will be talking about both the Zealot: Preacher class as well as the Veteran: Sharpshooter class.
Zealots are unyielding in their faith and are dedicated to a lifelong service to the Emperor of Mankind. Fueled by an unyielding desire to serve their Master, these holy warriors fight in the thick of it using thunder hammers, chain axes, and power mauls. The Preachers yearn for death and their arrival before the Golden Throne. They care not if they live or die, as long as their foe is vanquished.
Players who prefer an aggressive, in-your-face playstyle may find the Preacher to be a good fit. Players will need to learn how to switch between ranged and melee combat during particularly hectic battles. Preachers will do well against hordes of enemies. The lower their health, the stronger they become, but players should make sure not to let their health drop too low--for obvious reasons.
Next is The Veteran: Sharpshooter class, a class inspired by the soldiers of the Astra Militarum. These battle-hardened soldiers are the foremost defenders of the Imperium. More than anything else, Veterans are survivors and they understand the benefits and value behind teamwork. The Sharpshooter class has overwhelming firepower that can deliver massive heat in battle.
The Sharpshooter specializes in ranged combat and keeping foes at a distance. Upon activating their ability, their movement speed is slowed in a trade for increased weak spot damage, accuracy, and handling. It also allows them to identify non-ogryn elites and special enemies in a crowd or from afar. The Sharpshooter class can use their Frag Grenade in dire situations to regain control. Players can check out the Sharpshooter’s playstyle in the video below.
