If You’re Lucky Enough To Live Where A Gong Cha Is, You Can Now Get Your Own Porxie King Mount In Final Fantasy XIV
You just need to buy three teas.
As of today, the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with the Bubble Tea shop Gong cha is underway. Players can now visit the stores (mostly located along the East Coast or in Texas, but there are a few outliers so you can check the map on the shop’s site) to take advantage of the collaboration.
If you’re wondering exactly what the collaboration entails, Gong cha is now serving three drinks inspired by the MMORPG. These are the Fat Cat Brown Sugar Milk Tea, the Fat Chocobo Mango Frozen Tea, and the Cactaur Matcha Milk Tea. All sound pretty delicious, although Fat Cat sounds like it might put you in a sugar coma. Each drink has art of the mascot of choice on it, so they could make cute collector's items after the drink is gone and they’ve been washed. Some stores may also have commemorative key chains shaped like a cup of bubble tea to give to those who qualify. Qualification requirements vary by store, so you’ll have to ask.
Of course, the real reason to take advantage of the crossover is the Porxie King mount code. To get this code, players will need to purchase three teas in a single transaction. The post doesn’t specify, but I’d guess that if you buy more than that in one transaction (say six) you’re still only going to get one code. If someone who doesn’t live near a Gong cha shop asks you to make a purchase for them, breaking them up seems like the way to go.
Once you have your code, you’ll need to follow the instructions on the Lodestone to redeem it.
In additional news, only relevant to those of you who like to collect XIV images, screenshots from the raids that dropped yesterday are now available on the Dawntrail Special site. Since we know some folks haven’t gotten around to that yet and we don’t want to spoil things for them, you’ll have to go look on your own.
