Hunt: Showdown's 1.8.1 Update Brings Brand-New Quest System And Rewards
Time to get down and dirty in the bayou!
Today, Crytek launched update 1.8.1 for Hunt: Showdown on PC, featuring a brand-new quest system and a range of rewards to gain from challenging content. For the quest system, in particular, players can use #SuggestAQuest on social media to help mold the development of the feature.
In the game, players will be able to "summon" quests to complete in the bayou, ranging from "taking down specific enemies, killing grunts, locating boss lairs," and much more. With five categories to choose from, they'll have varying levels, from Simple to Legendary, cranking up the difficulty but also raining down more rewards on those with the gumption and skill. By completing those missions, players will earn stars, with a total of 30 stars max each week that offers 25 Blood Bonds. Besides the stars, you'll get in-game items like explosives and pistols and eventually other quests that reset "every Monday."
With the quest system being new and all, Crytek is taking a different approach to its development, asking for players to contribute feedback on the game's social channels. You can easily offer an idea for quests by using the hashtag #SuggestAQuest, as mentioned earlier, and all the feedback will be collected and held to a community vote on which ideas make the cut. It's a neat concept that may help expand the game further and help the developers get more in touch with their audience, a win-win scenario.
