HoYoVerse Reminds Genshin Impact Players That Logging Into Third Party Sites For Primogems May Result In A Bad Time
Because, some people seem to have not gotten the memo.
While we here at MMOBomb more or less believe in y’all and your common sense it when comes to things like not logging into unknown third-party sites with your game accounts, it’s pretty obvious some people have still not gotten the memo. Today, HoYoVerse published a blog post addressing feedback from Genshin Impact players who have had their account information (or whole accounts) stolen when using unknown sites to buy in-game currency.
According to the post, HoYoVerse is cracking down on these sites and working to enhance account security. However, at the end of the day, a lot of the responsibility lies with the players. It’s always important to know where you’re sharing your information. For this reason, the developers ask that players not use unofficial platforms to receive Primogems, buy accounts, or anything else that might put the account at risk. They also note other precautions such as not using third-party plug-ins, not offering up important information like passwords, email verification codes, and the like, and always checking to make sure the domain in the URL is one they recognize.
You all know the drill, don’t do questionable things that might put your account at risk.
