Horizon: Zero Dawn's Aloy Will Be Coming To Teyvat In Genshin Impact's First Collaboration
We knew it would happen at some point. It's always just a matter of 'when' with these things. Today, miHoYo announced Genshin Impact's first ever external crossover event, in collaboration with developer Guerrilla. In Version 2.1, Aloy, the legendary hunter from Horizon Zero Dawn, will join the citizens of Teyvat. Much like the Traveler and their sibling, Aloy is a visitor from another world -- or in this case "Savior From Another World" (That's her title.)
For a limited time, Aloy will be available as a playable character. There are some catches, though. First off, Aloy will initially only be available to PlayStation players throughout Version 2.1. That doesn't mean everyone else can't get her, you'll just have to wait until Version 2.2, and be at least Adventure Rank 20 to get her. She won't be available to obtain after 2.2, so make sure you're at least a high enough Adventure Rank to grab her when the time comes.
If you're a PlayStation player who also plays on other platforms, once you've claimed her via PlayStation, you can use her wherever you're logged in. And, speaking of logging in, that's all you have to do to obtain her, when the time is right. Log in during Version 2.1 or 2.2, depending on your platform, and you'll be able to claim her via in-game mail. In addition, players will also receive a free four-star Bow that provides Aloy with a special buff.
Aloy is a five-star character and, as you'd guess from the free bow thing, an archer. She also carries a Cryo Vision in Teyvat. More details on what players can expect from the crossover will be available at a later date.
