Horizon Studio Director Confirms "Multiplayer" Game On The Way
That, along with over a dozen other projects in the series.
"As people probably already know, we're also going to be working on a multiplayer game," said Guerilla Games Studio Director Jan-Bart van Beek in reference to the Horizon series of games. He was speaking at a Develop: Brighton talk, and also stated that the studio has major plans for the future of the Horizon series, with no less than 16 "plans" being planned or worked on at this time.
Van Beek also said that the multiplayer, co-operative Horizon game would be "a massive shift for the studio, almost on the same level as doing the first Horizon". He went on to say that "building this all out to a multiplayer experience is a whole new challenge for the studio".
We kind of already knew about a possible Horizon MMO when some footage leaked earlier this year, but now we have official confirmation that some form of Horizon multiplayer game is being worked on. Whether or not that turns out to be a full-fledged MMO remains to be seen and seems unlikely.
