Holiday-Themed Snowball Game Mode Announced For Valorant
On December 15, a frosty version of team deathmatch will be made available in Valorant. The special mode will be available for a limited time, until December 28, during which time players will have the chance to discover which of them has the most skills with snowball launchers. The frosty mode, inspired by childhood snowball fights, celebrates both the holidays and the release of the Ice Box update.
Not only does the event let players get some (armed) snowball fighting in, but it also offers gifts in the form of presents that can be opened, preferably with your team, like you'd do around a tree on Christmas morning. The whole thing is designed to be a lower-stress mode and the first of many.
In additional holiday news, Riot also announced new, wintery skins; the Winterwunderland skyline skin -- which has both a night and daytime look depending on where you're standing, some gun overlays depicting the same scene, and candy cane skins for melee weapons. The skins are all available as a bundle for 5,100 VP.
