Hildi Returns To Final Fantasy XIV On June 7, And More Content Comes With Him
Plus, Tataru’s up to...something, and we get to spend more time with Alpha.
In just five days, on June 7, Square Enix will drop Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.15 update. Like most of these updates, this one will likely contain plenty of tweaks and balancing changes (I’m looking at you PvP. Always looking at you and we already know Black Mage is getting scaled back there.) but the big news here is the new story content.
Since before Endwalker hit, the devs have been teasing a big adventure with Tataru, some Omega-related shenanigans, and the return of everyone’s favorite gentleman detective, Hildibrand. For just about as long, two of those things, Tataru and Omega, have been listed as arriving in Patch 6.1x – that is until this week. Now, we know all three will be included in Tuesday’s 6.15 update. That’s a lot of new content for the story-lovers among us.
Of course, we don’t know a lot about any of the individual stories. We know Tataru’s out to make money and it likely involves pirates. We know Omega’s story will continue when some flight logs are uncovered on the Ragnarok – and based on the pictures on the site, it’s going to require a visit to the moon. And, as for Hildibrand, well, we know he’s back and it looks like a trip to The First is in order.
In addition to that, players will also be able to take up the new Arkasodara tribal quests and begin making custom deliveries to the twins’ mom Ameliance – provided you’ve done everything you need to do to unlock those features.
On an additional note, if you’re a big fan of the Gold Saucer, the Make it Rain Campaign is back. The event kicks off tomorrow and will last until June 20. During the event, players can earn 50% more MGP and pick up a couple of new emotes.
