Hi-Rez Pays Tribute To David "Allied" Hance With In-Game Monument
This week, Hi-Rez games payed tribute to a beloved member of the SMITE community -- both in game and out. David Hance -- better known as "Allied" -- passed away on May 3rd after a lengthy battle with cancer. A dedicated member of the SMITE community, Hance was a professional player and caster and is felt by many in the SMITE community to have been an integral part of SMITE's growth.
Hi-Rez's tribute to Allied comes in two parts. The first is the video seen above, which highlights his accomplishments as a player and community member. The second tribute can currently be found in SMITE's Conquest Map on the PTS. It's nothing too flashy -- and as some on Reddit pointed out is very likely what Allied would have wanted as it's simple and classy.
