Hi-Rez Partners With WESA, Announces Paladins Premiere League
Today, Hi-Rez Studios announced a partnership with esports organization WESA and the launch of a new Paladins Premier League. This professional esports league will begin its first season this fall, with ten WESA Member teams participating. Some familiar names include Fnatic, SK Gaming, EnVyUS, and Ninjas IN Pyjamas.
The launch of this league has financial benefits for the teams, as league revenues will be split with the teams and players will be guaranteed a minimum salary. According to Hi-Rez Studios COO, Todd Harris, the company believes that the PPL will be a showcase for the best Paladins esports in North America and Europe.
"In addition, we applaud WESA’s initiative to professionalize esports and will be working closely with them toward this goal.”
