Hi-Rez Announces SMITE "Community Leadership Council"
Following the announcement of the "Assembly of Champions" community leadership council for Paladins at HRX, Hi-Rez announced that SMITE players can now apply to be on a similar council. Named "The Olympians", the council is an advocacy group elected by fellow players to communicate community concerns to the SMITE developers.
Elections for positions on the council will be held once a year, with the council being made up of delegates from the PC, PS4, and Xbox One communities. To ensure a fairly even spread, the 9 available positions will be broken down as follows:
- 1 PC Delegate with a focus on Conquest
- 1 PC Delegate with a focus on Non-Conquest Modes
- 1 Xbox One Delegate with a focus on Conquest
- 1 Xbox One Delegate with a focus on Non-Conquest Modes
- 1 PlayStation 4 Delegate with a focus on Conquest
- 1 PlayStation 4 Delegate with a focus on Non-Conquest Modes
- 3 General Delegates (any platform, as voted by the community)
Those elected to be delegates will get a few perks as compensation for the hard work they're going to be putting in. These include:
- Acceptance into the SMITE Partner Program
- Free admission to Hi-Rez Expo
- Exclusive in-game Avatar and Title
- Flight and travel to the annual Summit at Titan Forge Games in Atlanta, GA
Full details on how to apply for the council -- as well as age requirements and the like -- are available on the SMITE site.
