Heroes Of The Storm Adds Cassia, Amazon Warmatron
Ever wanted to play an Amazon in Blizzard’s free-to-play MOBA, Heroes of the Storm? Well, now you can! Cassia, Amazon Warmatron has a deep backstory within the Diablo lore. After she shattered the Worldstone, the young Amazon had changed. She had seen hatred, terror, and destruction firsthand. If the Askari were to survive the coming darkness, they needed an army. She began their training immediately.
Cassia plays the ranged assassin role and her kit is centered around the passive trait Avoidance. When moving unmounted, Avoidance allows Cassia to gain 65 Physical Armor against Heroic Basic Attacks, reducing the damage taken by 65%. This ensures that you’ll be doing a lot of stutter-stepping with Cassia because Avoidance benefits players that are on the move constantly. The rest of her kit is as follows:
Basic Abilities
Heroic Abilities
Having played Cassia at this year’s Heroes of the Storm Media Summit, I found her to be very impactful. Each of her talents give her a diverse number of options when faced with different situations.
One of the most satisfying things in her kit is the Ball Lightning Heroic ability. This ability on its own is great and all, but what if it was endless? With her tier 7 talent Infinite Lightning, that Heroic ability becomes well … infinite. Meaning, people will have your balls in their face until Cassia is taken out of the equation. How could you not like that?
If Cassia sounds awesome to you, she’s in the game right now, so go check her out! And make sure to check out our long exposé on everything related to Heroes of the Storm's 2.0 relaunch!
