Heroes And Generals To Sunset Current Game While Heading To Kickstarter For Sequel
It's the end for one game as they attempt to crowdfund the sequel.
Heroes & Generals is looking to upgrade and move on from its current iteration as the developers announced today that they are preparing to launch a campaign for "Heroes & Generals 2: The Next War" on Kickstarter on February 13th. They will be seeking $3 million in crowdfunding in order to bring the Heroes & Generals franchise onto the Unreal Engine.
As part of this movement forward they also announced that they will be sunsetting the current version of Heroes & Generals sometime in the next 6 months, though no exact date was given. There is still one more mid-season update coming to the game which will give players the ability to unlock previous battle pass seasons. As soon as that update is delivered the entire team is shifting its focus towards Unreal Engine and Kickstarter.
Heroes & Generals launched in 2014. You can read the entire announcement on the Heroes & Generals official site.
