Heavy Metal Machines European Championship Taking Place in July; 10,000 Euros on the Line
Heavy Metal Machines is hitting the big time, e-sports-wise. Developer Hoplon has teamed up with ESL to host its first European Championship, with 10,000 euros worth of prize support on the line.
Registration for the multi-stage event starts tomorrow, July 1. There will be three rounds of qualifying events on July 16, followed by an eight-team, double-elimination playoff July 23 and the finals on July 30.
You can register for the tournament for free on the ESL site. The matches will be conducted on European servers, but there's nothing that seems to specifically prohibit non-European players from participating -- as long as you're OK with the ping!
