Hearthstone's Un'Goro Expansion Is Live
Hearthstone's latest expansion, "Journey to Un'Goro" has officially launched in the Americas, Korea, and China and card packs are now available for purchase in the game's store. In this new expansion, players will join Elise Starseeker exploring the jungles of the Un'Goro Crater. There they will find massive dinosaurs and a lot of danger.
The Un'Goro expansion adds 135 new cards to Hearthstone for players to collect. These vary from powerful dinosaurs to primordial Elementals. The dinosaurs have absorbed the elemental energies of the crater, making them more powerful and able to gain new abilities. The Elementals, on the other hand, are so powerful that when played they leave behind an energy bonus for other Elementals to use.
In addition to the above, this update introduces a new card type -- Quest Cards. These are legendary cards. Therefore, a player can only have one per deck and they will always appear in the opening hand. When a player completes a quest, they will be rewarded with a new card or effect.
Finally, the update also brings the Year of the Kraken to a close and introduces the Year of the Mammoth. With this change, Blackrock Mountain, The Grand Tournament, and League of Explorers cards are now exclusive to Wild.
