Hearthstone's Scholomance Academy Is Now Live, Adds Dual-Class Cards And New Keyword
Hearthstone's latest expansion, Scholomance Academy, is now live. Overseen by Headmaster Kel'Thuzad (and his precious Mr. Bigglesworth), the academy is home to aspiring adventures of all classes, including those with double majors -- of the set's 135 cards, 40 of them are Hearthstone's first dual-class cards. Log in now (before Oct. 27) to claim a free legendary class card and start on a chain of quests to earn a total of six Scholomance Academy card packs.
There's a new keyword with this expansion, Spellburst, which activates when a spell is cast while a minion with the ability is in play. You can also fittingly partake of "Studies," a subclass of cards that let you discover a card and then grant a discount on the next card of that type.
The new phase of the Year of the Phoenix also kicks off with this update, with plenty of content -- including new Battlegrounds heroes and minions, a seasonal event, and a new solo experience -- planned between now and the next expansion. Blizzard is also promising a new game mode in the coming months, so we'll keep an eye out for that as well.
