Hearthstone Murder Expansion

One might think they’re safe going to a party in the Shadowlands. After all, most everyone there is already dead. But it appears even the domain of the afterlife still has its dangers. Although, those dangers might be smaller if you don’t invite several questionable individuals to your house for a party. Sire Denathrius definitely shouldn’t have in this case...then Murloc Holmes wouldn’t have to be investigating.

Hearthstone’s next expansion, Murder at Castle Nathria, begins with the death of Sire Denathrius during a party he held for ten of his closest associates and enemies. His intention was to discuss rumors that he’d been hoarding the life energy of tortured souls to power the Shadowlands, but he never made it that far. Someone killed him before he could.

The expansion’s new cards focus on the ten suspects in the investigation of Sire Denathrius’s murder. These suspects will be the new Legendary minions for each class. The expansion also introduces a new keyword, “Infuse”. This allows players to absorb anima from friendly minions as they die. Once enough minions have died, the infuse card transforms into a more powerful version.

Murder at Castle Nathria brings a new card type to the game as well. Locations each have an ability that can be activated for free on a player’s turn at the cost of Durability. Each class will have its own Location Card.

Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
