Hearthstone's Former Game Director Headed To Riot As LoL Design Director
It didn't take us long to find out where August Dean Ayala was headed.
It seems like just yesterday that we reported on Game Director August Dean Ayala's departure from the Hearthstone team after being at Blizzard for 11 years. Ok, well, it wasn't EXACTLY yesterday, but it really was only a few days prior to that, so it still hasn't been all that long.
Today we found out where Ayala is headed and some of you may be surprised, others may not be.
Via a tweet, Ayala revealed that they will be headed to Riot Games to become the design director for League of Legends. They'll kick off the new position in a little over a week.
In a little over a week, I'll be starting at @riotgames as the design director for @LeagueOfLegends.
Looking forward to working with a new team and immersing myself into the League community. HYPED! pic.twitter.com/1tOHKSZyoA
