HAWKED Is A New F2P PvPvE Extraction Shooter Coming To Open Beta In August
It looks very Fortnite-y, but gameplay seems interesting.
Hawked is a new extraction shooter coming from MY.GAMES in which teams of three players race to collect and extract artifacts from the island of X-Isle. The game is coming to open beta on August 3rd and will be free for all players to join. There will also be a battle pass included that all players joining the Hawked beta will get for free.
The open beta will run through August 17th and Hawked will be F2P and available on PC via Steam and the MY.GAMES launcher. A console beta as well as a PC cross-play beta are scheduled for a later time.
In Hawked, the first team to successfully extract Artifacts from X-Isle wins the game. Players can also extract smaller treasures and leave the island (dead or alive) with a currency that they can use to improve their character. Artifacts can be equipped once found on the island and they offer passive bonuses such as a sixth sense for nearby enemies. Hawked currently has 21 different types of Artifacts players will be hunting.
Players will be fighting other players and NPCs, as well as solving puzzles and traversing dangerous terrain in order to get to the Artifact and extract it. You can check out the full open beta launch trailer below to get a sense of the game. It's very "Fortnite" visually, but the game does look quite interesting.
