Season 5 Of Halo Infinite Might Be A Good Returning Point As It Streamlines The Battle Pass And Introduces Operations
The battle pass is going from 100 tiers to 50
Gone are the days of picking up one shoulder piece or a coating for one armor in a tier of the battle pass in Halo Infinite. They have now streamlined the shooter's battle pass from 100 tiers down to 50 and consolidated many rewards that used to be individual into combined tiers.
Coating and armor pieces in particular will now drop in a single tier, with coatings applicable to any armor set instead of just one, and armor pieces now dropping in sets instead of just one piece at a time.
There will still, of course, be a Premium tier which costs 1,000 credits, but you will also receive 1,000 credits in rewards across the Premium battle pass.
Halo Infinite is also introducing "Operations", which will take the place of what was previously known as "Events". Operations will continue to be totally free activities. Each Operation will include 20 tiers of free unlockable rewards and be progressed via the specified duration of the Operation. Operation in Halo Infinite will run for 4-6 weeks. You can go Premium in the Operation track as well for 500 credits, and it will include an exclusive bonus customization item.
Season 5 launches on October 17. You can check out the full blog post on the changes to the Battle Pass and Operations on the official Halo Infinite site.
