Halo Infinite's Fracture: Tenrai Event Is Back, With More Generous Progression
Earn 10 levels of progress per week, with more free rewards.
Halo Infinite's Fracture: Tenrai event is back, once again giving Spartans the opportunity to earn samurai-themed armor. The first time the event hit servers, the rate of progression irked a lot of players, and 343 Industries has enacted some changes this time around to make things a little more palatable.
As described on Halo Waypoint, players can now progress 10 tiers per week rather than the previous seven. Also, there will always be at least one event-related challenge available, so you don't have to uncover them by completing other challenges or with challenge swaps. Also, all XP and Challenge Boosts above Tier 10 will reward cosmetic items, making for a total of 11 new cosmetic items that players can earn, and the free event pass will feature several items that were originally slated for the premium shop.
In summing up the changes, 343 Industries said that it hoped "that these changes are a strong first step towards providing greater value, a greater sense of reward, and more reason for our players to invest their time in this Event Pass." Considering all the adjustments the developers have already had to make to the various passes, it might behoove them to spend some more time looking at how other free-to-play games handle theirs, so as not to make any more easy-to-avoid missteps.
