New Details On How Halo Infinite's New "Career Rank" Progression System Will Work In Season 4
Career Rank is coming to Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite Season 4: Infection is heading to the game on June 20th, and with it comes a brand new progression system called "Career Rank". In the latest Halo Waypoint blog post they broke down what Career Rank is, and what it means for the game going forward.
Each level of Career Rank in Halo Infinite will have military-style ranks and corresponding icons. Playing the game will progress you through these ranks, with every completed matchmaking game helping progress you through the ranks. Also taken into account is your performance in the games, which can help boost you through the ranks.
Going into Halo Infinite matches, there are several ways to display your rank for the world to see. During match intros you will now see banners that display Career Rank. Player profiles will include their Career Rank. Inspecting a player post-game, and most places where you would see a full nameplate or banner, will display Career Rank.
There are no skill requirements for these Career Ranks and they are not dependent on the CSR skill ranks. Previous game history will not be included. Career Ranks will not affect matchmaking. You will not be able to rank up in custom games, and double XP boosts do not boost your Career Ranks. Lastly, Career Ranks in Halo Infinite will not reset with each of the shooter's seasons.
