Guild Wars 2 WvW Update Will Reward Players For Getting Into More Fights
This will be on top of the normal rewards players get for conquering or defending objectives.
World vs World is getting some love in Guild Wars 2, with the intent being to make the fighting each other part more appealing to players. According to a recent dev post, in addition to receiving the standard rewards for taking or defending an objective, players will also be rewarded based on the number of opponents they “interact with” while fighting over an objective. It’s a nice incentive for players to do more of what they should be doing in WvW anyway.
If you’re wondering exactly what kind of rewards beating up as many people as possible will get you, the post doesn’t offer the information on that, exactly. What it does do is highlight a WvW-exclusive weapon set that they’re currently working on. This set will be issued as rewards for participating in World Restructuring betas. This may take a while, however, as the company is still working on dealing with bugs.
In addition to the WvW changes, ArenaNet is also making changes to profession skills in order to balance them. It’s a fairly lengthy list of changes, which can be read on the game’s forums.
