Guild Wars 2: Secrets Of The Obscure Expansion Will Make Getting A Skyscale Mount A Little Easier

I have to admit something to you all today. I still have not fully unlocked the Skyscale mount in Guild Wars 2. It's a pretty long, resource-intensive process that I have struggled to finish. But now, the MMORPG will be making that process a little simpler by using the Mastery system.

You'll be receiving access to your very own Skyscale mount by unlocking the Flight Training Mastery line in Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure. After you finish the first tier of the Mastery line, you'll unlock your Skyscale for use in the Secrets of the Obscure zones. Once you finish the entire Mastery line you'll unlock the Skyscale for use in all other GW2 zones.

Tier 2 grants you the Fireball skill, an aimed attack you can use while mounted on the Skyscale. Tier 3 gives you the ability to launch off of walls, Tier 4 gives you the ability to use updrafts, and Tier 5 grants you the ability to mount your Skyscale while in combat. Tier 6 lets you use ley lines to fly, while Tier 7 regenerates the flying meter while in updrafts.

This will all become available to players in Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure on August 22nd.
