Guild Wars 2's First Major Content Update For Secrets Of The Obscure Dropped New Story Today
"Through The Veil" is bringing new story, a new zone, Convergence events and more.
It's launch day for Guild Wars 2's first major content update for the Secrets of the Obscure expansion, and it's titled "Through the Veil". With this update comes new story, a new zone, Convergence events, relics, and much more.
There will be three new story chapters for players to explore, expanding on the story of Secrets of the Obscure. If you're unfamiliar with the MMORPG, their storytelling is phenomenal in these chapter releases and I expect nothing less in these three new story chapters.
The third expansion map of Nayos is included in this release. While smaller in size than some of the other zones, the content here is dense with a zone meta event and public squad-based rift-hunting challenges known as Convergences. There's also a new mastery track associated with the Convergences.
The Wizard's Vault has gotten its seasonal refresh, but don't worry if you missed some of the previous season rewards, they are in the legacy vault and do not expire.
There's also a new Kryptis-themed armor set, additional expansion relics, a Cosmic Observatory Challenge Mode, and many new rewards including minis, guild decorations, armor, weapons, infusions, and more.
The next update for Guild Wars 2 will be a balance update slated for November 28.
