Guild Wars 2's Open-To-All Beta Test For Weaponmaster Training Is Available Today
This event allows players to experience the combat changes arriving in the upcoming Secrets of the Obscure expansion.
Adventurers from across Tyria, are you ready to become a master of weapons?
Guild Wars 2 is hosting an open-to-all beta test from June 29 to July 2, ahead of the Secrets of the Obscure expansion launch on August 22 — which introduces Weaponmaster Training. This event is to allow players to experience the combat changes coming in the MMORPG's expansion. Weaponmaster Training grants elite specialization weapon proficiency to each profession, regardless of whether the corresponding elite specialization is equipped.
Players can create a beta character with access to all elite specialization weapons for their profession. The beta is open to all Guild Wars 2 accounts, including Play-for-Free accounts, and offers exploration of the open world as well as access to the Fractals of the Mists instanced group content. There is an option to pick either World vs. World or Player vs. Player as well. Once the event ends, all characters and progress will be reset.
