It also adds three new story chapters to Janthir Wilds.
Today, ArenaNet dropped the first major update for the Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds expansion. Titled “Godspawn”, the update is the first of three – with the other two coming in 2025 – updates that will be available to owners of the Janthir Wilds expansion for free. It introduces quite a bit of new content to the MMORPG including three new story chapters, the game’s first new ten-person raid in five years, a new fifty-person Convergence, and more. Like lots more. There’s even a seasonal refresh for the Wizard’s Vault.
The update also introduces a new Legendary Spear, the Klobjarne Geirr. The weapon originally belonged to the nameless Claw thousands of years ago. It features six different looks, allowing players to match it to their own aesthetic.
The new update isn’t the only thing players have to look forward to this month A roadmap – seen below – also notes a new Hero Jump Start Event, the Epic Game Store Launch, and Eveon Gnashblade’s “Birthday” Celebration. In December, players will celebrate Wintersday and January boasts a few events as well as a skills and balance update.
