Babylon's Fall Season 1 And Demo

If you've been wanting to check out some of Square Enix's most recent offerings, we have good news. You can check out the soon-to-arrive ARPG Babylon's Fall today – provided you have a PlayStation 4 or 5. A demo for the game is now available on Sony’s systems, offering players a chance to spend "multiple hours" with the game, in both story content and multi-player co-op. The announcement also mentions the demo giving a "significant head-start for strengthening your Sentinel"...that means your playtime will carry over.

In addition to announcing the demo, Square Enix also revealed the game's Season 1 roadmap and announced its first collaboration (already). Not surprisingly, the collab is with Nier: Automata.

Season one is titled "The Eternal Ziggurat". Players will need to ascend the Tower of Babylon and defeat the demon-like creatures that lurk there, eventually repelling the Gallu and liberating the city below.

Of course, a season also means a battle pass. Fight your way through the tower, take down "Infamous Enemies", challenge yourself with duels and gauntlets. All of it will increase your rank in the battle pass and earn you special rewards.

So, I just tried out the demo for this game and completed it. I do see some resemblance between FFXIV and Babylon's Fall, such as the obvious aggro system and mechanics. The game is honestly far better than what I expected it to be, combat and server-wise. However, the area this game does fall flat is the art style they decided to use really hinders the graphics of the game. I believe this to be an understandable approach as it prevents FPS drop in a game where perfect dodging and perfect parrying are an important aspect of self defense as there are no I - frames on normal dodges. Thus i believe the game having the graphics of a rotten potato at times to be somewhat understandable. The game truly shines during boss fights as this where you can see all the amazing particles and VFX maximize on your screen without hindering FPS at all. It makes epic moments more epic while keeping unnecessary stuff looking unnecessary. The game is honestly not bad in my opinion
