Grab Saints Row The Third And Automachef For Free On The EGS
Wreak havoc or build the ultimate automated kitchen.
So, this week’s free EGS games are so different, there’s no fun way for me to even try to tie them together. One is one of my favorite games of all time, and the other is a resource-management puzzler where people design automated kitchens.
The first – Saints Row The Third Remastered – is being offered as a freebie to celebrate the unveiling of Deep Silver’s Saints Row reboot. If you’re somehow unfamiliar with the Saints Row franchise (I know you’re really not) just imagine someone took a ton of hallucinogens before sitting down to create GTA.
Since The Third is about four games back in the Saints Row universe, if you count Agents of Mayhem, the game only runs about $40 normally, with all the DLC included. That's all included in this package: three expansion packs and 30 other pieces of DLC, that mostly add outfits and weapons.
The resource-management kitchen game, Automachef, is an offering by Hermes Interactive that normally goes for $15 (and there's no DLC). It’s a single-player indie game in which your goal is to set up an automated kitchen that can run without any issues. Aside from the general kitchen building, it also includes some special puzzles for players to figure out as well as a variety of modes, including a campaign. The other modes include the “contracts” mode which is all about business and the “sandbox text mode” where you can build all you want without any other requirements.
