Godzilla and Kong Enter Call Of Duty: Warzone For A Limited Time

It turns out the rumors and speculations were correct because from May 11 to May 25, Call of Duty: Warzone will have players fighting alongside two monstrous kaiju—Kong and Godzilla—in the Operation Monarch limited-time mode. This event will offer rewards for participating in matches, collecting Monarch Intel, completing challenges, and buying limited-time Monsterverse Bundles inspired by the two titans, Godzilla and Kong.

Despite the addition of these two gigantic monsters, players are not asked to take down these beasts but rather to fight alongside these monsters and live in harmony with them and, through the Operation Monarch mode, players will need to use their abilities to aid in their own survival. Players will also need to be on the lookout to avoid being crushed by Kong as he jumps around the island as well as avoid being in Godzilla’s line of attack as he launches his dangerous Heat Ray breath.

If that was not challenging enough, players will also have to be ready for the dangerous moments when Kong and Godzilla may become enraged and begin to recklessly attack, this phase is known as Titan Frenzy. After receiving a Titan Frenzy alert, players can either tactically withdraw from these dangerous creatures or attempt to suppress them by dealing direct damage. The squad who deals the most damage to either Kong or Godzilla during a Titan Frenzy will automatically receive Monarch’s special S.C.R.E.A.M. Device.

The Titan S.C.R.E.A.M. Device (Titan Sonic Communication Radar and Echolocation Array Module) is a device that will allow players to unleash the power of Godzilla’s Heat Ray breath or a ground pound from Kong. Like any other attack, timing and location are two major factors to its effectiveness.

During this event players will also be able to purchase three Monsterverse Bundles inspired by Godzilla vs. Kong: Godzilla Reactive Mastercraft Limited Time Bundle, Kong Limited Time Bundle, and Mechagodzilla Limited Time Bundle. Players can purchase any two Bundles to receive the exclusive “Godzilla vs. Kong” Weapon Sticker and the “Superspecies” Player Title. Grab all three, and players will receive a Legendary “Apex Phase Rifle” SMG.
