Go Figure, Someone’s Leaked The Final Phase Of FFXIV's The Omega Protocol Ultimate
The World’s First Race just got a lot faster.
When it comes to MMOs, high-end content is supposed to be tough. The idea is to give players who want a challenge something to work on for a good, long while. Of course, that’s circumvented when something happens. Like… say… someone leaks the end of the fight.
That happened really early this morning when someone leaked phase 5 of Final Fantasy XIV’s latest ultimate, The Omega Protocol. The video shows the mechanics as well as the ending cutscene. (No, we’re not going to leak it here, but we have seen it. If you really want to, we’re sure you can find it.) As of yesterday, of the top five teams on FFLogs progging the fight, only one had begun Phase 5. Now they’re all there, just hammering away.
This is the second time in a row that the new Ultimate had details leaked. It’s fair to say that Square Enix is going to be really unhappy about it. What they decide to do remains to be seen. That said, they did locate and take legal action against someone who leaked major content prior to Shadowbringers. The same could happen here.
